Everleigh grows with new construction, residents and virtual community program

Everleigh continues to grow, with new residents moving in and construction underway on the latest stage, as a new virtual community initiative launches to help residents stay connected.

Dozens of new homes are under construction and Mirvac is moving forward with work on its latest land release - the Reserve Release - and construction of the serviced site for a future State primary school, which it expects to hand over to the State Government mid-2020.

At the same time, Everleigh's signature community engagement program, managed by Enriching Communities Greenbank, has moved on-line, encouraging residents and the wider Greenbank community to connect with each other from their home.

Enriching Communities Greenbank founder, Suzanne Guastini, says the new virtual program, 'Together We Belong', accessible via the group's Facebook page, is more important than ever.

"Our message is to keep sharing kindness and care for one another, as it is fundamental in creating communities that are supportive, connected and resilient," she says.

"We are inviting people from Everleigh and the broader community to join weekly phone chats with our team and each other, to phone in or video call new and existing friends they have made at our previous coffee, craft and social groups and encourage children to play together via their parents' devices."

Diman Roy and Swaran Dutt, along with their sons Dilan, 11, and Dishan, 5, are among the latest residents to move to Everleigh and say they did so after a long search to find the right community.

"We did three years of hard research before we came across Everleigh and when we saw the masterplan we could not fault it, it is so well planned," says Diman.

"We love the shape and form of Everleigh, including the location of the park and the network of path and cycleways, along with the planned State primary school. The level of access is fantastic, with the shopping centre across the road and Orion Springfield Central nearby."
