A FIRST HOME BUYER'S JOURNEY TO EVERLEIGH
In Bethany’s early twenties, she discovered Mirvac’s Everleigh masterplanned community in Greenbank while searching for a site to build her first home.
“When I first visited Everleigh, I immediately felt at home,” says Bethany.
“I fell in love with the mountain views, the greenery, the beautiful parks and the peaceful neighborhood.
“With all the exciting new developments within and around the estate, I knew I couldn’t go wrong buying my first home in Everleigh. It’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made.”
Bethany officially purchased land in the community in early 2022, when she was still only 22.
“Never in my wildest dreams did I think at age 22, I would be buying and building my first home,” she says.
“My advice for other first-home buyers looking to buy land and build is to save, save, and save!
“It’s so hard in today’s cost-of-living crisis, but little things like making your own coffee or bringing your own lunch to work instead of buying out will make a huge difference in the long run.”
Bethany says the Everleigh sales team’s support made her buying experience especially positive.
“I missed out on securing land in the ballots. So, I went down to the sales office every week or two, saying hello to the wonderful sales team and checking in on available lots.
“I became the ‘squeaky wheel’, and when a block of land fell through from a previous release that I had registered for, I was contacted and offered the block of land, which was just perfect for me!
“It just shows that you should never give up on your dreams and goals. During the whole process, Chris and Eileen from the sales team were very friendly and helpful.
Bethany’s home was built by Coral Homes and completed in early 2023.
“In terms of the future at Everleigh, I’m super excited about Everleigh’s first off-leash dog park.
“My miniature schnauzer Henry loves going for walks around the estate and so having a new designated park area to let him run and play around in and meet his fellow doggy neighbours is going to be amazing,” she says.
